Elect Lily For NEA Vice President

I want to continue being a part of Team NEA. I want to continue my work with our members and with the communities they serve. I’ve worked with parents, business leaders and community activists. More and more, I am asked by many in the faith community about how they can support public schools. I’ve been interviewed on television, talk radio and newspapers about our common-sense call to give educators the tools and resources we need to do our jobs and to trust in the professional judgment of the men and women who know the names of their students – instead of the dictates of bureaucrats and politicians who only know a test score.

There’s so much to do and so little time. Our students are growing up even as we speak. Our members are counting on us - local, state and national to help them give their students everything they will need to be successful in today’s world. I want to be where I can make a difference. That’s why I became a teacher 26 years ago. It’s why I want to serve you as Vice President of the National Education Association.
